Embracing a New Identity – Part II

As we leave what is familiar and receive what is unfamiliar and divine we must be willing to join relationally with one of spiritual maturity who can foster continued growth. As we live in a non-relational culture our spiritual identity will be formed by the nurturing of our nature through a bonded relationship within the church family. To take hold with a willingness of servanthood determined to grow and thrive in the house of God will take both decisiveness and courage. In receiving Christ as Lord we begin infancy anew with hope to develop into functional whole adults. God has promised to bless to the generations those who love Him. Leave, receive and cleave … be birthed into your destiny and open the door to spiritual prosperity for generations to come.

Embracing a New Identity - Part 1

The purpose of family is to bring identity and security to individuals. Though we may have grown up in a forged identity living out old patterns and relationships’, being born again God wants to pour out the spirit of adoption on to each of us that we will know we have been re-identified as His child. God provides us with a church family that we can shed the past and embrace our new identity in Him that we may come to fulfillment and joy in our divine purpose. In order to embrace this new identity we must choose to leave what is familiar and comfortable and be willing to receive both what is unfamiliar and the supernatural divine empowerment of the Holy Spirit. These 3 elements are imperative for the next step …

For By Grace … Pastor Matt Osgood

It is by grace as God’s gift and not by our own works that we have come to know salvation. We have received the Holy Spirit and by grace the way has been prepared for us that the ministry of Jesus will continue throughout His church. As we become willing to move in very certain absolutes we will be filled and refilled with the Holy Spirit growing in discipleship. It is through the power of God’s grace when we yield to His will that He is able to do what we cannot do in our own strength. What God has spoken He will accomplish and if we truly trust Him surrender is easy. Let Him build the foundation and rest in His grace.
